Answers:    I would run HDMI from your PS3 to your TV, then use your TV's "digital audio out" (this will be any digital coax or optical) to connect the sound to your LG surround heir.

Another option, if your surround system does HDMI switching, is to run HDMI from the PS3 to your beneficiary, and another HDMI from your receiver to your TV. This however, might not work if your heir only does HDMI "surpass through". Plus you have to buy 2 HDMI cable, which are more expensive than digital coax or optical.

Option 3: HDMI from PS3 to TV and digital audio out from PS3 to receiver. This could work out better than route 1 depending upon how far your TV/PS3 is from your receiver. If one is significantly closer, it could recover you a few bucks and make for a cleaner looking install.
