The prehistoric Beta vs VHS conflict.... When VCR's first came out, here were two types, Beta and VHS. It took a few years to see which one would survive while the other died out. For trait, I don't think at hand is any doubt that Beta was certainly better. But there be advantages to VHS, most notably a 6-hour EP mode. I haven't gotten involved in the HD/Blu-ray debate. Regardless what I infer, the market will wish. But I find it interesting that Blockbuster & Hollywood Video have both thrown within with Blu-ray. It's a lay a wager, sure, but companies of their size can't afford to invest in too big a mistake, so they must own good motivation to believe that DVD-HD won't last.

The average movie watcher will not consideration the difference between the two formats.Consumers aren't ready for a unknown high definition DVD format if it isn't spelled out simply and deliver in a deportment that isn't confusing or easily mistaken for existing formats.The with the sole purpose way HIGH DEFINITION DVD can be pushed on to consumers is,resourcefully ,to PUSH it on consumers.DVD would have to be replaced.
