How large can the warmth be surrounded by my electronics cabinet?

I have several AV components (Cable Box, TiVo, XBox 360, AV Receiver, etc) that I am keeping within an enclosed cabinet (glass front). I am worried in the region of it getting too hot in the cabinet, especially for the XBox which is not respectable for overheating. I added a small fan close at hand the top of the back of the crust, which I think is helping. I hold thermometers in the cabinet that do not exceed 95 degree F, but I'm not sure if that's still too hot. Is there a biddable rule of thumb for electronics ambient temperature?

Answers:    You can consent to it be that hot - but plan on replacing a lot of electronics. Heat is what kill the electronics.

If you put the fan at the top - clear sure it is sucking air out. If you put the devotee at the bottom, make sure it is pushing nouns in.

(Think of a chimney - putting a aficionado at the top to blow smoke/heat into the room is not usually a good idea).

Put your beneficiary on the lowest shelf, then endow with it lots of room above to vent. That heat wants to 'see' open space so it can move away.

The Tivo (and any DVR) are scandalous for generating steam. These also must have lots of room above to vent.

You can also cut a strip out the back/bottom of the rack and screw contained by computer type muffin fans so you can own constant cooling.

Good luck.
It is wise to keep hold of it as cool as possible to prevent overheating.
