Logitech Z Cinéma Advanced Surround Sound System or Logitech Z-5500?

Which is better? Any opinion?

Answers:    Go beside the Z-5500.
It almost has 3x the wattage of the hot Z Cinéma.
The last set of Z-series speakers Logitech released, which I own, the Z-2300 have two times the power ever.

I'm surprised that the Z Cinéma isn't THX-Certified. But you know which speakers are? The Z-5500

Furthermore, Z-5500 more versatile near its different inputs (including some for home entertainment equipment like your DVD player and video spectator sport consoles) and includes built in surround nouns hardware decoding approaching:
Dolby(R) Digital, DTS(R), and DTS(R), 96/24 soundtracks
Dolby Pro Logic II (Movie and Music modes)
6 Channel Direct
Stereo x2
Stereo

Virtual or simulated surround sound from 2 speakers is a nic gimmick but still it isn't true surround nouns. That's why movie theatres still use multi speaker systems. They work and sound better.

Since both systems cost roughly indistinguishable with the Z-5500 going for a bit smaller quantity, I'm going to have to read aloud go for the Z-5500.
If you're still set on getting a 2.1 speaker system, dance for the THX-certified Z-2300 set.
