I have a pioneer 1017 addressee. I have HK 14 speakers 5 120w sats beside a 200 wat sub. I am not 100% in love near the music from this. It sounds great but I am thinking of buying a good center ch. speaker to use as the posterior surround. (probably a cerwin vega) It just seem empty surrounded by the back I want music coming from everywhere. I integer with a flawless speaker back in that the circle will be complete. BTW my reciever does do 7.1 but i will never use it for that. Ill set it up as 6.1 . Does this make any sense or will I be wasting my money? OR, Would it be better to use the obedient center as my new center conduit and just throw one of the sats contained by the back. The hindmost will probably never be used in movies individual music
Answers: Use the new center as your most important front and throw a sat speaker for the rear because the rears arent ever going to put out profoundly of sound. Also 6.1 be just a ratification thing until 7.1 come out so I would recommend going to 7.1 you will be happier with the nouns.
On side note to your quiz. You say you might use the newer center as your most important center. If it is a better center, then YES. The center passageway is the most important speaker within your entire set up.
A sat surrounded by the back will do fine to complete your circle. However, I am surprised your system does not assuage you as it is. On mine, a Yahama, I change my program to complete 5 tube, rather than dolby, when listen to music. Sorry if that is confusing, I lately had surgery, and enjoy a couple pills in me right presently!
