How can i connect my sony walkman to my component?

Your walkman will enjoy a headphone jack. If your "component" has a 3.5mm headphone type input jack, later you can go to an electronics store similar to Radio Shack and buy a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable. Make sure it is an input and not an output. Then, you're done.

If your component doesn't have a 3.5mm input jack, next it would have red/white RCA stereo jacks. You can buy a 3.5mm headphone connector to red/white RCA connectors. This type of cable will be available at most electronics store close to Radio Shack or Circuit City.
