Will a 1080p upconvert DVD player work on my 1080i HDTV?

Answers:    Not all HDTVs will adopt a 1080p signal. That said, most up-converting DVD players give you a choice of output (just because it CAN output 1080p doesn't scrounging it will ONLY output 1080p) so the answer is PROBABLY.

Since you don't give details of which player and which HDTV I can't administer you a better answer.

You should confirm this with the store and buy on (written) agreement you can return if it won't work. Any reputable store should agree,
Yes, I don`t know, it should. Rumor has it that HD technology will down-convert itself if have need of be or be backward compatible. I own no personal experience with this issue but what I hold come to understand is that if your TV is "i" lone then the player will down-convert from "p" to "i". Aw hell, you can other take it put a bet on.
