Is it legitimate to buy HD converter top box from Ebay & will it work beside only just digital cable?
Answers: It's legal, but I suspect it wont work unless you use it solitary as an antenna tuner.
Cable systems are no longer stupid connect-and-work setup. Each box has a peerless ID and the cable system changes encryption and permissions to channel based on these ID's. A box from a different system will usually not work, and if it is from matching system, it has to be 'activated' by your local CATV bureau before it works.
Is this a officially recognized item? If not, then no it is not allowed to buy it from soemone on ebay. If it is legal, afterwards yes.
