Home cinema system on the blink, anyone oblige ?

when playing a dvd with the surround nouns on,after about 2 mins the voice nouns dissapear.you can hear all other sounds but not vocals.any design anybody?

Answers:    with true surround nouns, film vocals are usually sent through the center gutter. do you have a center concentrate speaker hooked up? if so, after the vocals drop out, can you hear anything through it?
sounds like the amplifier for that gully is overheating and cutting out to protect itself. Maybe you are driving the wrong size/ohm speaker through it?
If you still hear nouns through the center speaker after vocals go, it might be a truly abnormal decoder problem. but i doubt it...occam's razor.
obedient luck!
Check your connections to the centre speaker at the speaker come to an end and at the amp end to cause sure the cables are safe and sound connected and haven't worked loose.Don't forget to turn the system off first so you don't short any connections out
