Blu-ray Help?

I have a PS3 and I'd close to to buy some Blu-ray movies. But I don't have an HD TV. If I buy an HD converter, will it still work impossible to tell apart and could I hook an HDMI cable up to it.

Answers:    You can use your PS3 to play Blu-Ray movies on any TV, but there's really no point unless you have an HDTV. Standard TVs are set to 480 lines of resolution, whereas HDTVs go adjectives the way up to 1,080 lines of resolution. Blu-Ray be designed for use with HDTV because of the superior picture characteristic, but you don't get that superior picture talent without both the Blu-Ray player and the HDTV. BOTTOM LINE: You won't perceive any picture difference between standard DVD and Blu-Ray on a standard TV, so don't waste the money on Blu-Ray.
you won't receive hd picture without hdtv. rationale evrything is in hdtv not surrounded by hd converter. but of course it will work
