I have a 360 addition for my HD-DVD player. I was wondering roughly the option to "force DTS". When "display" is pressed on the remote, you can choose between Dolby 2.0, DD, DTS, or WMA(?).
So what happen when the add-on turns a dolby track into a DTS track?
I own tried it out and had mixed results.
Wondering if someone have a definitive answer.
Answers: The add-on can't turn a DD to DTS. The corresponding audio bit streams are already part of the pack of a DVD, you just switch to the one you similar to best. Note that for multi-channel DTS or DD you need to hold an audio receiver that can order those formats.
