In-wall audio/video component rack. How can I build & install one myself?

I was advise to use Middle Atlantic racks, but there are soo various options. How do I determine what I obligation? How should I order the parts?

Answers:    Yes Middle Atlantic racks are great. Want to build your own? Just writ the rails form Middle Atlantic. Make sure you know what you are trying to do. It's deeply time consuming to build your own AV rack though. Talk to somebody who a licensed dealer of the Middle Atlantic product strip.

I would suggest that you 4 rack rails so and read on the standard dimension of an AV rack. Or capture 2 of the blank plates to reference the distance of your rack.

You will need a loyal room for this. If you don't have the time to fool a round you can grasp their pre-made rack equipment:ERK,MRK,SRSR etc. depending on the application.

You will also need some cooling component such as the QFAN, Cab-cool, ect.

A mountable rack power supply is also polite for this application.

You will need the rack screws-we use the 'HS'

Vent panel

And yes shelvings, you may want to order the custom rack shelving RSH or freshly the cheap utility shelf.

You will also require some lacing bar for wire direction.

I deal beside Middle Atlantic on a daily spring. They are wonderful racks with more option than any other rack company that I have come across. They own a program on their website called "Rack Tools" specifically used to electronically build a rack for your equipment. I will admit that it is confusing and not for everyone. If you hold issues with the software, you can step to your local custom home theater store and they can build and order one for you.
