How to connect coaxial to optical?

my HDTV have coaxial digital audio output. my nouns system only hold optical audio input.

is there something to convert the format? or is it purely better to stick with analog stereo?

Answers:    There are several devices approaching this on the market. Do a google survey for "Optical audio to coax audio converter". You'll probably end up spending at smallest $60 for such a device though. That's not outrageous (especially if you've already spent a ton on a decent home theater system), but if you're not an audiophile, you might want to a moment ago stick with the stereo and squirrel away yourself the money.
Yes there are lots converters, switches and to accomplish this, Here is a link to the simplest of these, but know that near are many types of these out here. However in my experience within are not many contained by Big Box stores so you may have to stick to the WWW.
