Answers: Typically these DJ speakers are meant to be played loud and usually nouns terrible at a lower volume. They weren't stingy for quality home listen ...all they have to do was bounce everybody around the salsa floor.
If you really want to use them in home ...bring a McIntosh power amp or another high current amp to drive them. E-bay list them all the time and they are notably sought after. You might get one for utter $500 ...and it will make anything speakers you decide to use come alive. All you entail is at least 100 watts of McIntosh power.

how many watts can the dj speakers manipulate? there should be a sticker on the fund that tells you how abundant whats and at what impedence. You wont be able to use your existing reciever but you should use that contained by a different room i guess. I had two three agency 15'' dj speakers. They could handle roughly speaking 160 watts rms and I hooked them up to a stereo reciever from onkyo (tx8522) that puts out 100 watts rms and boy did they bump. The reciever has more or less 4or 5 inputs so I hooked up a tv, dvd player, minidisk player and an mp3 player to it. Good luck.
