Surround-Sound Stereo on a budget-how do I incorporate more speakers?
I bought this little Phillips stereo at target ($99.99).
It have 2 speakers and a 3-CD-changer.
I want to add 2 more speakers and run them outside. (I bought 2 little speakers and speaker chain at Best Buy).
On the back of the stereo the 2 standard speakers are plugged into the merely two "holes." There are no additional holes to plug surrounded by more speakers.
Can I get an adapter? Or? What do I do?
Answers: You cannot carry true surround sound within a setup like this. Even if you be to split your cables (NOT recommended - you can devastate the receiver), you would simply be playing Left and Right channels beside front and rear speakers. The nouns would "surround" you but the experience would be less than immersive.
In any baggage, let's say you do want to risk injurious your stereo receiver - you can simply splice the untested speaker cables - departed and right - and connect your other speakers to it - left reverse to left, right flipside to right.
Again, I really do not recommend it, but hey, we all want to live rather ;)
I think on those unit the speakers get the power from the principal unit.
So you cannot tag on speakers.
u cant get surround nouns on that cheap unit.
adapter won't do anything. buy a alien cheap receiver and connect existing dvd player and those existing speakers to it and delight in kickass system
