1000 RMS.. I want to use it as for partys and whatnot.. But i cant seem to capture it louder than my computer.. im sure i need a heir and maybe an amp.. but im comparatively clueless.. Any help is apperciated!

Answers:    IF this speaker does in actuality do 1000wRms, you'll need a sizeable amplifier. I have to disagree beside A1 Roz. Just as you can overpower a speaker and cause disfavour, you can underpower a speaker and damage both the amp and the speaker. There are awfully few speakers on the market that will reproduce 1000wRms and they are severely expensive. You mention only one speaker and I guess it is a together cabinet, full range? At any rate you'll necessitate a large amplifier.
You can't variety 1000RMS speaker capacity hit on a small dimensions of watts. You will need at least possible 100 Watts RMS Amplifier to make it move and you should get hold of a decent thump, but your conversation 1000 here...thats allot.
You can feed that spoeaker a 500watt rms amp yawning open and never blow it.
