Sound trouble?

I have speakers connected to my computer and my system is not recognize them everything used to be fine untill I moved now I can't listen to anything. Can anyone minister to me figure out what is wrong, and how can I hold my system recognize my speakers?

Answers:    Most computer systems do not recognise or interact beside speakers themselves, unless it's one of the very few systems where on earth you have an external soundcard connected to a 5.1 box and surround speakers, such as the Soundblaster Live External USB:

If you own a regular internal soundcard it is likely to be this which may be imperfect and not speakers. Only way to theory test it is to plug a set of headphones into the speaker socket and try-out that, if it works, then the speakers ARE inaccurate.
Which means you may call for new speakers, or the cable to them have somehow got dog-eared or is not making the connection properly.
You entail technician my friend, or let some one control your mouse and see what your option is.
