I hold a discouraging speaker for my stereo, how do i find out which one it is? It keep shutting sour so i can't check

Answers:    Hello. The easiest way to check would be to return with yourself a 9 volt battery and simply attach the wires from your speaker(s) to the freestyle. You will hear static through the drivers if they are not blown or damaged. BTW, this is also a great course to test to see if your speakers are hooked up correctly, l-r-center , rear, as well as checking motor stereo speakers. Good luck !!
I've come acroos this same problem in the passed.

I unhooked respectively speaker (one at a time) and turn my stereo on with just one speaker disconected at a time. When it stayed on I found my blown speaker.

I hope this helps.

But - are you sure it is a bad speaker? Many times receiver go into 'PROTECT' mode because one fall of a speaker wire have little copper strands sticking out and cause a short.

I have my receiver shut bad on me after a few minutes several years ago. I examined the end of respectively wire - and could NOT see a problem.

But I trimmed respectively wire, re-stripped and re-attached both bringing up the rear the speaker and behind the heir - problem went away.
