I have logitech 5.1 surround nouns speakers and a 22 inch HDMI monito. I am going to hook my Xbox 360 into this 22 inch HDMI monitor but dont want to use the two HORRIBLE speakers that are built into the monitor, I want to use my surround sound. Since I am hooking up VIA HDMI doesn't the nouns travel via HDMI to the monitor? Or is there a seperate nouns channel that requests to be hooked up, in which luggage I can just plug it into my surround nouns speakers. So all surrounded by all I am asking if HDMI transfers both nouns and video or just video and if it transfers both next can I hook up my surround sound?
Answers: Yes, HDMI will convey both the sound and video.
If your TV have an output, feed this to your Logitech systems.
But check the cable that comes out of the xbox. Mine have a Toslink optical jack that I run straight to a spare input on my receiver. You may involve to do this if your TV only have L/R outputs and not coaxial/optical for 5.1 sound.
PS: I'm looking forward to the Simpsons activity tomorrow.
