Why does my VCR hold on to stopping after resembling 30 second of playing, this happen every other time I am playing it?

Answers:    I have notice most of the VCRs I have owned make available up the ghost when their motors fall short. Usually you notice it first when the VCR dies when you try to rewind or when you play a cartridge and it play for 5 seconds and after stops and eats the video because one sides' motor works and the other one designed to spool up the slack does not. Just get another one, I plan they are a dime a dozen nowadays or you could gain a combo model with a DVD player built within for $100 or under.
probably a discouraging tape, i've have them do that too.
