Are here different version of blu rays or are adjectives of them widescreen?

I just want to know if within are blu rays that will fit the whole blind when you watch them instead of black bar or does that depend on the aspect ratio because one of my blu rays has a ratio of 1.85 to 1 and it take up the whole peak.

Answers:    As you suspect Blu-ray are widescreen. Depending on the aspect ratio of the program material at hand may or may not be top/bottom or side bars.

On a 1.78:1 (16:9) display a 1.85:1 picture will NOT (quite) fill the peak unless it is slightly enlarged or stretched vertically. See the link for a diagram showing how diverse aspect ratios relate to respectively other (constant width).

If a Blu-ray version of a 1.33:1 (4:3) picture is viewed it will hold side bars.
Any HDTV should be surrounded by a wide peak aspect ratio anyways. So it should always steal up the whole blind. There aren't two types of blu rays because all HD format is film and produced in widescreen. So unless your box that your using is an HDTV with an aspect ration of 4:3 which is uncommon, but I've seen them, it should be automatically fitting the picture to your full tube screen.
