Is Toshiba HD-DVD are they finish?
Answers: Well ... if it were me ... and if I have the HD DVD player already, I'd ask myself if there be any disadvantage to continuing to buy HD DVDs, assuming I wanted to see the movie (and own the disk so I could replay it)?
I think I would dance ahead and buy since this way I a) take to watch the movie surrounded by HD, b) get more use out of my existing player, and c) don't enjoy to put out the $ to buy a Blu-ray player now.
If the movie be available in both Blu-ray and HD DVD format you would enjoy to choose, but even then, unless you own a Blu-ray player it would still make sense to buy the HD DVD reworked copy.
The only difference the Warner decree makes contained by the short term is that you may know how to get better prices on HD DVD disks since masses won't buy them.
In the longer term you may enjoy two players (or more likley you can hold out for a dual format player on sale) and will have a library of blue and red cases on a shelf.
Hope this help.
imo yes, i work at blockbuster and blu ray is outselling/ourenting DVD's 5 to 1
