Do those upconverting DVD players really formulate a difference and are they worth buying?
Answers: If you have a HDTV later yes there is a difference surrounded by visual element but not as good as HD-DVD or Bluray. A biddable upconverting DVD player is around $100. I own a Sony upconverter hooked up to a 1080i HDTV and it looks great. Better than a regular DVD player.
Standard DVDs will never look like HD. Don't idle away your money in buying an upconverting DVD player, unless you want a new DVD player.
I ruminate DVDs look phenomenal on an HD. If you think they don't look upright on an HD, then you can buy a HD-DVD or Blu-Ray drive and capture true HD.
They do work. The only item is , your tv has to own an hdmi input on it. You have to use an hdmi cable to do the upconversion. True hd dose look better similar to hd dvd or bluray, and they will also upconvert your regular disc's as well, but the upconvert players will draw from you close to hd quality.
