I can't integer out how to brand the digital audio cable work w/ my surround nouns.?

I got a fresh dvd player and the only instrument to input the audio to my surround sound is using a digital audio cable (looks approaching a coaxial) I can't figure out how to bring the sound to come out of the surround nouns because the only settings are Dvd, tv, radio, cd, vcr, sit. and those all own a/v cables...not the digital cable. if this make sense. Please help me. (it's an RCA RT2390 surround nouns thing too)

Answers:    Bitstream is also referred to as PCM.
You may also hold to select which input your receiver should use. Check contained by your manual to see if you own to select the optical or digital input for your DVD audio.
My receiver does. I enjoy to designate the input as coaxial or optical digital. My receiver is a Denon not an RCA but you may hold to do that also.
Your receiver is experienced of both coaxial and optical audio inputs. You can use a single RCA type cable for the hook up if the DVD player has this type of output. You can also use the standard RCA Red/White cable for the audio hook up since all players hold this as well as your addressee according to its Specs.
