How do I clear wireless TV earphones work when the individual plug is for a regular headphone jack?

I have audio video outs on my small screen but no headphone jack, like indistinguishable as my computer headphones... I bought these for my TV I find it really strange the plugs are a regular headphone jack... my TV, DVD player, and Sattelite box do not enjoy a headphone jack.. so confused... is there a converter of some sort or what the heck?

Answers:    Yes, you can take a converter at Radio Shack or any local electronics store.
