I own a 65 inch Mitsubishi backside projection HDTV......I also enjoy the Nintendo Wii..Will the Wii ruin my TV?

Im trying to find out if the WII will damage the reverse projection hdtv

Answers:    If your Mits. is a CRT based set instead of DLP you could disfavour it. If your TV is more than 5 years old it's probably CRT but check next to your local Mits. dealer to be sure, or post your model number contained by another question.

CRTs own phosphorus painted on their front surfaces. That's what lights up and makes the picture but the phosphors tend to brown over time. Any fixed figure can impose itself on the obverse of a CRT (by prematurely browning that area) over time making a shadow of the fixed image on everything you scrutinize.

If you have one of the newer DLP Mits. backside projection TVs, no trouble at all. Play away and enjoy fun.
No. I have a Wii and a 57-inch flipside projection. The only issue would be burn-in, and that would solitary be an issue if you leave it on one fixed blind for a long period of time.
