HD Home theater cross-question.?
1. Component video vs. HDMI. I just get the HD digital cable receiver, and it come with component video and audio cable standard. My HDMI cables are within the mail so I hooked up the component video. Looks great. So very soon?? What is the advantage of HDMI? Other than cleaning up the number of cable behind your set. Is nearby an APPRECIABLE difference in video and audio between the 2. I am looking at a 1080i signal right in a minute.
2. I see a spot on the screen. I hold used the cleaning rag and it will not come stale. I know it is not a black or white spot in the peak from a stuck mirror on the processor. It looks more like smudge. Anyone else own this? It appears to be inside.
Answers: 1. Component is analog and HDMI is digital. HDMI will deliver slightly better quality video than component. Unless you hold a surround sound addressee that supports HDMI audio and video, it is not going to clean up your cable situation. You would one and only be able to use HDMI for video with the sole purpose.
2. If you see an undefined spot, after this means within is dust or a fingerprint on a mirror, lens or DLP chip. There is nothing you can do to resolve this yourself. If it be a definitive spot like a square or rectangle, next this would be stuck mirrors. Either way, it seem like you obligation to get your TV serviced or exchanged.
