Hi I just bought a Sony HD LCD 46" Bravia TV. I hold a Sony 6.1 receiver that dose not hold any HD connections but it has optical, digital and component connections, I also own a Sony upconversion DVD player with HDMI nouns and a Bell HDPVR satellite receiver. How can I seize the best sound and picture. THX Terry

Connect DVD and PVR to your HDTV via HDMI. If you only enjoy one HDMI port, then you use component for your DVD player and HDMI for the PVR.
Use optical and/or digital audio connections to acquire surround sound from your DVD and PVR. Obviously, connect these devices directly to your surround nouns receiver.
While it would be nice to run adjectives video and audio connections through your receiver, as you can see it's unfeasible without HDMI connections on your Sony addressee.
