Want to connect XBOX (via RCA) to HDTV but bring nouns via HTS?

Hdtv connected to HTS via HDMI, I want to connect xbox(via RCA) to HDTV and get nouns via HTS? I get no nouns.
I can get TV speakers to work(if unmuted)--but want to use surround system- is this possible?

Answers:    This hook up is simple but you may necessitate to extend your leads to create them reach. RCA color code is red, white and ashen. The yellow is the video head and will go to the TV. Since it is an HDTV it might not hold RCA connection so you may hold to buy an adapter box. The red and white leads are the audio lead which will be ran to your HTS.

You can capture adapter here: http://www.hdtvsupply.com/stococo.html
or at your local Wal Mart.
Try hooking your RCA outs on your xbox to your HT receiver. Whatever output you plug them into, you will hold to switch to that when playing the xbox.

You might also be able to hook the video out on your xbox directly to the heir and use that to switch video sources. Depends on the capabilities of your system but it should work.
