Optimal tv stand echelon? (50 inch plasma, 10 - 12 ft. viewing distance)?

What is the optimal height for a 50 inch HDTV (specifically Panasonic TH-50PX75U), at a viewing distance of 10 - 12 ft.?

Answers:    Your splash of sight should be 90 degree to the surface of your screen, at it's center. If your TV is on a stand, the middle of the peak should be vertically level near your eyes. If your TV is mounted on a tilt bracket it can be higher because you can tilt it downwards. The exalted thing is to try to keep up the 90 degree angle.
The "optimal" elevation is where you are looking directly at the center of the TV blind when you are seated. It doesn't correlate to the viewing distance.
