Do i wait for it or go and get 1080p ??

Answers:    1080p is a step on a gradual progression to higher and better resolution display devices.

That said, there is no accidental of 1080p broadcast TV in the forseeable adjectives; it is predicted that only 38% of consumer households within the US will have HDTVs (720p and up) by the back of 2008; and it isn't clear yet that Blu-ray will even supplant DVD.

The subsequent step is liable to be 1440 resolution, and/or 10 or 12 bit video at 1080p with a broader colour space (have you notice some Sony HDTVs are already able to bar the latter?)

And many ethnic group don't benefit from 1080p even if they have it ... simply because they sit too far spinal column.

So ... if you wait for something better than 1080p at the consumer rank you will wait a long time.
Since near is not this boat load of 2160p content out in attendance or a device that has 2160p output, I would utter go beside 1080p instead of waiting 5 years for this to hit the market.
