I looked on the Blu-ray site, it seems to suggest that a Blu-ray player will also play a regular DVD. Will a Blu-ray disc play contained by a regular DVD player? It looks like they are saw that the disc can be made to do so, but are they being made to do so?
Answers: No. They are individual saying that Blu-Ray players are towards the back compatible.
a blu-ray player can play blu-ray and dvds but you cannot play a blu-ray disc on a blu-ray player. the other format hd-dvd uses double sided hd dvd's on side plays only on hd dvd player but the other side is coded surrounded by dvd format so you can play it on a standard dvd
