Sound system to Television put somebody through the mill...?

I want to hook up my HD cables to my TV from my Xbox 360, but aren't long satisfactory to reach the TV. I bring back sound and everything through the speakers from the Xbox, so I already own that figured out. I be wondering if there be any type of extension cables made for HD component cable only lacking making the picture look terrible. I go to Best Buy and looked at RCA cable hookups to use as an extension, but I asked a sales rep and he said it would product it look bad.


Answers:    RCA is the right style of connector. Please, everybody, stop asking the guys at Best Buy question. It makes their brains hurt. You can use RCA butt connectors (RCA Female to feminine ) to extend your component cables and it will probably look of late fine. There may be some loss of picture quality but how appreciable depends on lots of factors close to your TV, Distance to the TV, How detail oriented your eyes are.... If you use well-mannered quality connectors and cable it won't be any more loss than using a receiver to touch video switching. (connecting audio and video to an a/v receiver for surround nouns then sending the video out to the TV. Which incidentally the Best Buy guys recommend routinely.) Good Luck.
