I want to watch TV sometime lacking turning on the whole Surroundsound. The TV speaker doesn't work when the hdmi is hooked up through the reciever.
Answers: resourcefully i would hook up the hdmi straight into the tv and run SPDIF(orange coax) to the reciever or fiber optics to the reciever. If you have multiple hdmi's going into the reciever i would invest within a switch and run the audio from the other devices into the reciver seperatly
