Can I make a payment powered sub to home theater surrounded by a box?

I have a cheap 850 watt sony home theater system and want more bass

Answers:    First of adjectives, 850 watts is nothing to shrug rotten. As for your question, no. You cannot tag on a sub the way you would on a commonplace home theater. What you could do is get a sub beside front right and left inputs and run it beside the speaker wire which is coming from the addressee. Doing this is bad though because you are sending an amplified signal to an amplifier and you could bun it adjectives out. If you wanted polite sound, you should enjoy decided on a home theater to fire up with as unwilling a H.T.I.B. Sorry.
It depends if it has a proprietary nouns. Look on the back of the receiver/amp. Is at hand a preout or a separate sub out? if so you can run an RCA cable from it to your powered amp. If there isn't afterwards you may need more equipment to mould whatever connections in attendance are on the back to the inputs of the powered sub. Recommend a powered amp beside a built in cross-over.
