I hold a sony home arena and it keep sayin unplug protect and i can't digit out the problem, suggestions?
Answers: First of adjectives are you giving it the proper ventilation? You very soon receivers put rotten a lot of bake because to the output of power that they have to supply, and if they are covered near little or no ventilation, the addressee will know that and to prevent a fire it will shut itself off.
Try moving it away from a poor ventilate area and sit it by itself [near one and the same area to relief your connection], but make sure zilch, I mean nil is covering the top of your receiver to prevent it from getting freshening, this can cause wear on your element quickly, Try to put it by itself, I believe this will do the trick. Absolutely nought on top of the section!
I had a similar problem next to my Yamaha. I checked all connections, no problem found.
So I disconnected respectively end of respectively speaker wire, trimmed the ends, re-stripped and re-connected. Problem go away.
Another thing to try: disconnect adjectives but the L/R speakers and see if the problem goes away. If so - suspect the center or flipside speakers/wires.
Add in respectively speaker until the problem comes back. You any have a fruitless speaker wire or a internal short contained by one of the channels or the speaker.
If you un-plug adjectives the speakers and turn the unit up and it shuts sour - the problem is inside the receiver.
