Why are the numbers on a calculator and a phone reversed?

Answers:    The numbers on a ten-key calculator are reversed because different professions use them for fast inputting. The five usually have a bump on it to keep your place while typing. Telephone are conventional due to the fact that you look at one when you dial the number and it is easier to see them surrounded by decending order. But that's of late my thoughts on it.
That is exactly right.
