I hold Vonage, and just now changed ISP. I connected everything correctly, phone works, can't go and get online on laptop
Any suggestions on what to do if adjectives is connected correctly? Help!!
Answers: This sounds more like an ISP service problem fairly than a Vonage problem.
If you say everything next to Vonage worked fine before switching ISP's, and very soon your PC can't get online, afterwards it certainly sounds approaching you have "Internet connection" problems.
Vonage requires a well brought-up Internet connection surrounded by order to function.
If you enunciate "all connections are correct", afterwards (assuming hardware has not died surrounded by the interim) turn off power to All adapters (Modem, Router, ATA phone adapter) for 10 second and then "reapply power". This is to try and reacquire an IP address from DHCP servers.
It is possible your Modem is not getting an IP address - within which case zilch will work - not the PC - not VoIP phone - nothing over Internet will work lacking your modem/router getting a valid IP address from ISP service provider.
If these suggestions don't resolve problem, then it is up to your different ISP to verify for you that your Internet connection is working properly.
If Internet is OK, after it becomes a hardware issue.
Does the modem belong to the ISP or Vonage?
Whoever supplied the modem is responsible to oblige you resolve modem issues.
Who supplied the the Router/ATA? I presume Vonage, in which suitcase if modem is ok, then Vonage have to help you resolve phone issues.
(All that said, we adjectives know good cusomer service in a minute days... is a myth...)
the best thing you could do is to ring these race again and give them an ultimatum any they fix the problem or you will seek legally recognized advice over the situation, you are paying for the connection so it is nearby responsabilty to rectify the problem.
good luck
Vonage sucks, and their customer service SUCKS worse! Dump them and seize a different service and things will work.
OK I'm better now, telephone call your ISP provider to get the Internet working not Vonage they are only a VOIP phone service and have nil to do with the ISP, so appointment your cable or phone company, who ever is your ISP co. and get an American to capture you up and running.
