I bought a Sony ER k550i phone from Oman very soon it dosent work within india can any body facilitate me next to a country code?



Answers:    If you bought the phone in Oman, it's probably locked to Oman Mobile so you can't use another company's SIM card surrounded by the phone. You'd have to ring Oman Mobile and carry them to give you the SIM unlock code for the phone. Once unlocked, you could put any GSM SIM within there and know how to make/receive calls, i.e. one from Vodaphone India.

If you are still an Oman Mobile customer, you should know how to roam in India no problem. Calls should be dialed as follows:

+ (country code) (city code) (number)

For example, if you required to call Oman Mobile you would dial:

+96824474000

The + sign is made by holding the 0 button down on your phone for a couple second. The country code for India is 91 in baggage you need that too.
