Answers:    I suggest you set up your phone to reject private call. I did it myself and it was a huge nouns and cut down on the prank calls and the telemarketers. Here is an article I found that might support:

Most companies offer you a passageway to block these calls, and it can usually evolve by just dialing a code on your phone. If you enjoy Time Warner Cable digital phone service, just as an example, you can dial (*77) on your phone and dally to hear confirmation that your unknown and anonymous calls are presently being blocked. There is also a code (*87) that you can use to turn this type of service bad. If you have service through Vonage, you can use the outstandingly same codes.

You may find that most all phone companies use one and the same codes for the sake of simplicity, but if you try it and nothing happen, you may have to contact your extraordinary company to see what the code is. Some may not offer this, and it is not available contained by some parts of some states. You can look through your local phone book for this information (usually in the fundamentally front sections) to see if something is listed nearby.

This code and service usually work very powerfully. It forces someone to identify themselves before they can ring through to your string, or they can't get through at adjectives. What you should remember, however, is that you may still get some 'out of area' or 'unknown' call that do come through. This is not because your phone code is not working, but fairly, because their phone provider failed to dispatch through the proper data to display the number. In these cases, it is simply a situation of technology not working correctly.
I never answer private numbers for this justification.
