I want to drop my phone service with AT&T, but I apprehend that VOIP service does not work with home alarm systems unless you capture extra hardware for a charge. Will I need to maintain a basic phone service a short time ago to have a dial tone to work next to my alarm service?

Answers: no problem, Vonage have there own VoIP home alarm...! since so abundant ppl now hold broadband phone service many fine home alarm provide this service in a minute!!
