Answers:    I believe what you are wanting to know is the "unclothed bones" telephone service cost. Call your phone company and ask them for a price for P.O.T.S. They should know that stands for Plain Old Telephone Service. Just touch tone compatible and a dial tone. No telephone call waiting, no caller ID, no three means of access, no star this or star that. It may be as cheap as $20.00 before taxes. If you want better service, and lower rates, try: collaborate.com. Just make sure you don't permit anyone make long distance call on it. The phone company may select a long distance plan for you.
Read your bill and see where these charges are coming from. If you own used any long distance, 411, operator assistance you will be charged for that. Instead of asking your interrogate here, call the billing department and ask them.
