How can I find out from the nouns code of a land-line number which nouns it is assigned to?

When I am going through my itemised phone bill, and I see phone numbers that I do not remember or recognise, it would probably back jog my memory if I could identify the location of the number from the nouns code, e.g. 0151 would be the Liverpool area.

How could I do this glibly?

try typing "area codes" into google. Maybe that would support?

01484 - Huddersfield
01924 - Wakefield

go onto the bt.com website and here is an area on it that will describe you area codes and the areas
should adjectives be in your phone directory
if you own got a phone book the codes are adjectives in the front of it, but their website sounds a great notion, didnt know about that. I deliberate we all attain numbers we dont recognise on our phone bills-I always own a nagging doubt that BT just make a payment a few in and hope that I dont identify. Their bills become more confusing every year :(
call the creature and ask them .... its a sure way to take the correct answer , but remember to write it down this time ...
