Is Telstra out to scam me?
Unfortunately my Internet Service Provider tell me I need to return with Telstra to add my number onto their database past I can get Broadband
So I telephone Telstra up and they tell me that they entail to get a technician over since they can fix the problem, which will cost me $200. And when i tell them that the row is connected as there is a ringtone. They convey me it's impossible and that a technician has to physically be within to reconnect it!
I can't help but quality scammed and hopeless. What can I do about this situation?
Answers: are you sure the rank is ringing to the new apartment? do you hold access to the new apartment, or are you a moment ago ringing the phone from your line immediately, and the call appears to be going thru?

to verify the number you can appointment an ANI number (telstra i dont believe is a US number, so i dont think 1-866-my-ani or 1-8OO-444-4444 will work for you... conceivably 958 will) if that wont work, or you can not find a local ANI number, call your cell from the number at the apartment and check the guest ID, you may need to clear your number (*82) before calling if the splash is private..
