Yes, but it will give somebody a lift 2-3 month before it will run effect..........If your registration was smaller amount than 31 days ago then they can still nickname you. After 31 days they have to stop. You can also notify the telemarketer to put your phone number on their do not call detail.
Also you can file a complaint near the Federal Trade Commission if the telemarketer has violated the 31 daytime rule.
You will need to own the name or the phone number of the company that call along with the date of the telephone and the phone number, which they keep calling. Companies can be fined up to $11,000 per vandalism.
Your phone number is on the Registry for 5-years. After that you would have to reregister.
These are the one and only types of businesses that can call you and not violate the Registry:
“banks, federal credit union, and federal savings and loans.
adjectives carriers—such as long-distance telephone companies and airlines—when they are adjectives in adjectives carrier movement.
non-profit organizations—those entities that are not organized to carry on business for their own, or their members’, profit.”
“calls from — or on behalf of — political organization, charities, and telephone surveyors;
call from companies with whom you enjoy an existing business relationship. A company may call you for 18 months after you produce a purchase or three months after you submit an inquiry or application;
calls from companies you’ve given assent to call.”
Go to the National Do Not Call Registry’s website to profile a complaint or to get more information.
