i am about to move into a different place and BT state on their website to set up a new phone intermingle costs 125 pounds! Apart from BT are there any other non cable providers I can use. I know next to Talk Talk, Virgin Media etc you need a BT or non cable landline already installed. Any recommendation? Cheers

whatever you do- DON'T USE BT. my boyfriends home phone, business phone and internet hold been messed up since may, and he still have to pay the bill for service he's not unloading. you could try VoiP or just use a cell as your primary phone.
