I stipulation to connect a retro receiver?
Answers: It depends on what loving of phone it is and what telephone service you enjoy. Some older phones will not work on VoIP lines.
I am guessing you are trying to connect a rotary dial cell phone. On the back of the phone trailing the handset addressee cradle there should be a manufacturer name (i.e. Western Electric; ITT; Automatic Electric etc). Then on the bottom of the phone in attendance should be some numbers (i.e. 500 C/D and usually a manufacture date).
Is the plug on the phone a modular plug or is it a larger four pronged plug or is it of late spade ended?
If you tolerate me know this information I can assist you in connecting and getting your phone working.
Im pretty sure those phones are ancient, and can not be used anymore, I may be wrong.
You might try getting some telephone electrics diagrams, and wire the phone to a trial phone wire, but label sure you know what you are doing, you wouldnt want to short out your entire house.
