I am going to wire two phone jacks surrounded by my home. I have the elder four color wire. Black, green red and yellow/orange. I am going to hold to run seperate wires to each phone jack. How do I telecommunication the different colors at the outside box and then at the jacks inside. Do I necessitate to use all four colors or use two colors for one jack and two colors for other jack? Also does one jack use two colors and the other jack use the other two colors? Wehave a moment ago one phone number and no fax, etc number. Only have own a DSL modem to use in one jack near a splitter. Any and all assistance appreciated, even to tell me if it is too complicated for a do-it-yourself project.

If you are using a telephone row splitter to make 2 runs from 1 consequently you may not need to do any rewiring at adjectives.
If you use pre-wired telephone extension cable, then newly plug the extensions into the splitter - one extension to one phone and the other extension to the DSL modem.
If that doesn't work for you, then you call for to identify which of the 4 wires is your live line. Usually the wires are paired as red-green and black-yellow. Typically red-green is line1 and black-yellow is line2. If you lone have one alive line, next it is probably red-green.

red/green are used for row 1, since you only hold one phone line, you would connect red/green to like peas in a pod at the jacks, and also to the NID (most likely on the blue/white pair)
yellow/black is for flash 2 if needed, or a spare pair, if red/green are defective..
