I hooked the compact up to my high speed cable set it up get on line cleaned somemore and defraged and adjectives i could do..it worked very very well was hugely fast and verbs..she took it home..ok.,she has dial up.when she tries to connect.it say no dial tone..why does it work so good here and did i disable the dial up somehow ..i dont go and get it..i have a unsullied modem i can put in but i dont beleave the modem is unpromising...any suggestions appreciated..thanks steve.. ps..they have phone company there but adjectives they know is phones. said lines r ok.may have installed in that internet on it also ..not quite sure..frontierenet is nearby internet provider local company

Go here: Start, control panel, network connects, create a different connection....
