How come my house phone rings but I can't hear the other soul when I pick up?

I got a trial phone, and it is still the same problem. All the other phones surrounded by the house are fine. I also can't dial out, all the phone is apposite for is ringing.


Answers:    Did you use the same rank cord that wen from the phone to the wall jack? If so that could be an issue.

Make sure wiring the central to the wall jack are secure.

You should start out by taking one of the other phones contained by the house and connect it to the jack where you are have the phone issue and see if you still have same problem.

Otherwise send for your local telephone company.
you probably enjoy loose wires in the jack itself or where on earth the phone plugs into the jack it may have impossible prongs. i would advice you to buy a tentative jack for the wall
